The organisation was previously a transitionally recognised association. It is geographically based in Queensland and its coverage as a registered organisation does not extend beyond that state.
The organisation is divided into a number of divisions. The governance of the organisation is vested in the Divisional Council, to which office bearers are elected by its members. The organisation also has a Committee of Management. Its elections are conducted by the AEC.
