We have released a discussion paper on the arts and culture sector as part of the Modern Awards Review 2023-24. An industry profile providing statistical data into the sector’s landscape is also included at Annexure A.
The paper has been prepared by our staff to help guide the consultation process and encourage comprehensive dialogue on:
- existing modern award coverage
- minimum standards within the arts and culture sector
- potential coverage gaps.
The development of this paper was previously announced in President Justice Hatcher’s 4 October 2023 statement. The paper arrives in accordance with the scheduled timetable for the Modern Award Review 2023-24.
Deputy President Milhouse has also issued a statement setting out the proposed programming of the consultation process. Interested parties are invited to comment on the conduct of the consultation process by 20 November 2023. A mention to finalise arrangements is scheduled at 10am on Thursday, 23 November 2023.
