In certain circumstances, we can make authorisations to commence bargaining for multiple employers to make a multi-enterprise agreement covering some or all of their employees.
If an agreement is made between parties named in a single interest employer authorisation, it will be a single interest employer agreement.
If an agreement is made between parties named in a supported bargaining authorisation, it will be a supported bargaining agreement.
Once either authorisation is put in place by us, it can be varied to add or remove employers. When the agreement is eventually made, it can also be varied to add or remove employers.
Single interest employer authorisations
Multiple employers with common interests, or franchisees, can bargain together.
Supported bargaining authorisations
Multiple employers that, for certain reasons, find it difficult to bargain alone
Adding or removing employers from a single interest employer authorisation
Adding or removing employers from a supported bargaining authorisation
Leave or join a supported bargaining authorisation before the agreement is made.
