When you apply to us you are starting a legal process. There are several ways to submit an application with us. Find out how to submit your application in the information below.
If you started your unfair dismissal or general protections application in our OLS before 18 August 2025 you will be able to access your draft there. You should complete the application in the OLS.
Important deadlines
Many applications have a deadline. Check the deadline – we may not accept late applications.
If you are worried you will miss the deadline because you are waiting for information, you can contact us to find out what you can do, or you can apply now with as much information as you have.

There are different ways to apply. We have online lodgment options or you can download a form and email it to us.
The options are explained below.
MyFWC portal
Use the MyFWC Portal to submit the following applications online. You can only make one application about a dismissal.
- Form F2 – Unfair dismissal application
- Form F8 – General protections application involving dismissal
OLS portal
Use the OLS to submit the following applications online:
- Form F16 - Application for approval of an enterprise agreement (other than a greenfields agreement)
- Form F8C - General protections application not involving dismissal
- Form F9 - Application for the Commission to deal with an unlawful termination dispute
- Form F72 - Application for an order to stop bullying at work
Forms
Go to the Forms webpage to find all forms:
- Download and fill out the form in Word or PDF and email it to us (all forms)
- Download and Print the form, then fill out the form and post or deliver it to your nearest Commission office location (all forms)
- In some circumstances you can start an application by telephone (contact us)
Useful information
- We have a list of approved file types on our Approved file types webpage.
- We can only receive emails that are less than 50MB in size.
- When you submit an application, we aim to confirm your case number by email within 5 business days.
