One of our key objectives is to educate and engage with the community we serve. Our aim is to reduce regulatory burden and promote access to our services.
We undertake a range of education and engagement activities. This includes:
- establishing and maintaining stakeholder user groups
- collaborating and partnering with people organisations and communities
- providing free courses on our Online Learning Portal
- developing education products in formats that meet community needs.

Our Education strategy 2025–28 is a key element of our Corporate plan 2024–25. It sets the direction for our education efforts, with a focus on:
- delivering the right information, in the right format, at the right time
- supporting new and existing users to understand and access our services.

Community engagement strategy 2025–27
Our Community engagement strategy 2025–27 aims to enhance our engagement with migrant communities across Australia.
It was developed in consultation with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. It prioritises partnerships and collaboration with people, organisations and communities.

Stakeholder user groups
We have established user groups to facilitate an exchange of views and provide a two-way communication forum between us and key stakeholders.
International engagement
We have developed relationships with several international agencies.
Our International Committee coordinates visits and engagements with international agencies.
